There’s something wrong with my blood they said
Fatigue faltered my stride
Bruising shattered my pride
The life I had left me behind.
Another way to learn a number decides my day
Platelets leave faint hints of life that could be mine
Why now? Why this? Why Me?
And yet can get I hold defiance in my heart against all odds
I’ll make a new star
Keep doing those things and bring me bliss
Another night out I refuse to miss
My strength different with each day
But I find my voice to say there is a hope that grows in the mud
for i have dreams
